We thank Rory Aikens, formerly with the Arizona Game & Fish Department as their fishing "go-to-guy", for the beautiful photo he has provided. It's of Big Lake in Arizona (at an elevation of 9,000 feet). The fall hues in the northern areas of the state are truly magical, and especially for those in the lower parts of Arizona that seldom show the change in leaves, a trip just to view the remarkable colors is definitely worth the travel time. And, for those from other parts of the country (e.g., Ne... Full story

In September 2005, our Publisher Jim Allen and Editor Carol Allen delivered the first copies of issue number one of Arizona Boating & Watersports. And now, as we enter our 14th year of publication, we look forward to continuing this journey with you - our supportive advertisers, contributors, readers, and... Full story
Thank you to Margie Anderson for this photo of Cliff Springs Trail, about a third of a mile north of Cape Royal. She notes that this gem is worth a hike. It's gorgeous. In fact, especially during the soaring temperatures of the Valley of the Sun, a trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and surrounding areas is one of the best ideas she has shared - with us and with her family. The Anderson family recently spent five days visiting the treasures of Page, Marble Canyon, Lee's Ferry, and, of... Full story

Wayne Gustaveson has shared this photo of Sharon Hunt who completed her week-long fishing trip to Lake Powell after catching a mixed bag of striped bass, walleye, largemouth and smallmouth bass. Even right at home, the Community Fishing Program offers some great fun for the kids and their families. In our "Tackle & Target" section of this issue, reel-in... Full story
