  • Is This For Real - Citizenship Question On Census

    Jim Allen|Feb 1, 2019

Publisher's Note - We have a lot of information coming across our desks. Occasionally we decide to print some of it so our readers can determine its veracity. The MAJORITY of Americans don't realize just how much POWER & MONEY the Democrats make off Illegal Aliens being in our country even without voter fraud. This is why they created 'Sanctuary' cities and states. Simply by including their numbers as part of the population in the US Census, they get MOUNTAINS of money from the federal... Full story

  • Wheel-A-Way

    Jim Allen|Apr 1, 2018

Unlike their larger brothers, small boats typically aren't launched from a trailer. Owners tend to wrestle them to water's edge, often damaging hulls and backs in the process. With Davis Instruments' Wheel-a-Weigh™ launching wheels, one person is all it takes to easily roll a RIB, rowboat, dinghy or inflatable with hard transom to the shoreline. Best of all, the innovative device doesn't even need to be removed to use the vessel. Wheel-a-Weigh is built to last using 316 stainless steel. The pivo... Full story

  • Plogging

    Jim Allen

I recently saw a report on one of the local Arizona news channels on plogging. The report showed a group of people exercising and getting ready to do some trash cleanup along the Salt River. According to Wikipedia Plogging is a combination of jogging and picking up litter. The term comes from the Swedish term plocka upp. What I didn't see in their report was any reference to cleanup along our border or in our public lands. Don McDowell addresses border clean up in his article Congress Explores... Full story

  • Hybrid Calico Macaw

    Jim Allen|Mar 1, 2018

Ziggy is a handsome Hybrid Calico Macaw (Greenwing x Military Macaw) who is missing the toes on both feet as well as the portions of his wings where his flight feathers would grow. Most likely he was born with these deformities due to poor hybrid genetics. Like all special needs birds, Ziggy does not realize that he has any "problems" and has adjusted to life exceptionally well. After living with a family for over 16 years, he was abandoned in their home when they moved. A neighbor alerted a... Full story

DeFir had a shop in Phoenix on Cave Creek Road back in the '80s. Our thanks to Bill Wier, of Marine Wholesale, for reminding us of the passing of Ray DeFir several years ago. Wier also reminds us that DeFir had a shop in Phoenix on Cave Creek Road back in the '80s and that he was well known for his New Years Day skiing exploits. "How many people do you know who can ski 100 mph on the Columbia River in the winter time? Or want to for that matter," said Wier. Many of you may know Ray from his... Full story

  • Sun Valley Fiber-Glas

    Jim Allen|Jul 15, 2013

Dan Turner came from the Arkansas/Missouri area in 1987. He had started there in fiberglass manufacturing, which he did for about 10 years. Turner made just about everything, including waterslides, and was one of a few not employed in a farm-related business. That was Act 1. Setting the stage for Act 2 for Turner was a request for him to do some repair work back home. His normal fee for manufacturing fiberglass items in 1985 was $12/hour, but he found that doing repairs was bringing some... Full story
