Grand Canyon, Ariz. – Early Saturday morning, January 23, Phantom Ranch located at the bottom of Grand Canyon, experienced a power outage. Arizona Public Service (APS) is working to locate the fault in the line and restore power. Due to the prolonged power outage at Phantom Ranch, a concession operated by Xanterra South Rim LLC, the Ranch closed to guests on Sunday, January 24. Ed Huntsman took this shot six years ago walking up to Havasupai Falls from the Colorado River in the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Grand Canyon, Ariz. – Starting November 3, Grand Canyon Trail Crew will replace the 25-year old composting toilet facility at Cottonwood Campground.
