Thank you to all who came to the summer Hunting & Angling Heritage Workgroup (HAHWG) meeting. We had 45-50 attendees at the meeting, representing 22 unique organizations. Arizona is famous for many things, but opening day of dove season is downright legendary. Temperatures here may still be high, but there's nothing cooler for the hunting community than the first day of dove season. Sunday, Sept. 1 is the official start of dove season. The Arizona Game and Fish Department's 2013 Outdoor Expo drew 35,000 people over the March 23-24 weekend at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility in Phoenix.
