The South Bayfront Sailing Assoc., a non-profit, has purchased the classic two masted schooner from the Los Angeles Maritime Institute. The South Bayfront Assoc will use the schooner to provide sailing events and educational programs. She is certified to carry 30 passengers and 8 crewmen in open waters. The decrease in water levels has reduced the depth of water in these areas, creating shallow water on the ramps with steep drop-offs.
