Times Spent Outdoors: Priceless!

PEI Prize --

Contractor Ken Cirks spends a few days each fall fishing up in the Northeast. This year he was fishing out of North Lake, Prince Edward Island. I talked with Basil Pappas via telephone a few days ago, on September 7. Pappas remarked that Cirks was tucked into the corner of the boat at that very moment, working on a tuna of over 800 pounds. I’m assuming that the fish you see here is the same one. Here’s what Cirks sent along to me: “Hey guys, I’m just got back from another unbelievable trip to Prince Edward Island. This one was about 900. We fished with Gregg Norton with Tight Lines Charters again and he put us on the fish every day. A quick note to the success of the Mustad 39943 hooks; in the two years we fished them, out of 25 hook ups, we boated 22 fish. The three we lost got chewed off; all the rest were right in the corner of the mouth. I will take those odds on giant bluefin any day.”
