Times Spent Outdoors: Priceless!
It dawned on me today while I was putting up stories on our website how much simpler the process has become since we started using ROAR. ROAR is online-publication software provided by Lions Light Corporation.
This is a personal thank you to Dan and Lea Wilcox from my wife Carol and me. I thank them for having taken a task that was awkward and time consuming and making it easy. My wife Carol thanks them for providing a system that works so she doesn't have to listen to me grumble about one that doesn't.
ROAR has made a process that was time-consuming and cumbersome easy. One thing that's unique about ROAR is how well it works for small publications that want a full-featured website. Every other solution I have seen takes two to three times longer to maintain and usually has fewer features.
Dan Wilcox Grew Up In The Newspaper Business
So often when we use software, we are left at the mercy of "tech" support. This may be alright if you are a "techie". I'm not, and neither are most of the other publishers I know. When I needed help learning the ROAR system or needed questions answered, it was simple. I emailed or picked up the phone and Dan Wilcox, the developer of ROAR, answered my questions.
ROAR is perfect for your newspaper or the newsletter you are doing, or would like to do, for your business or organization. Give Dan a call or email him. You'll be glad you did. Tell him Jim and Carol said hello.

When you start using ROAR, you will be amazed at how much better your newspaper or newsletter looks and functions, and how much more time you have to handle the rest of your business.

Yes, ROAR has both a metered paywall, and a regular paywall. So basically, your metered paywall will let you give away the first 1, 2 or 3 (etc.) articles that users clicks on each week or month (etc.), but the regular paywall also lets you designate any article as free in addition to what the metered paywall doles out.

Dan, one or our readers asked me the following question. Would you mind commenting on this please? Does ROAR have a metered paywall?
