They have 1 or two courses per month, call them for the schedule. They also offer Introduction to Practical Shooting, which requires a knowledge of handgun basics, which is scheduled by demand.
Their Refuse to Be a Victim class in Tucson, Ariz., is made available by demand. It's a Personal Safety program that teaches you strategies you can use to avoid situations where you need to defend yourself. Focuses on proactive, not reactive courses of action. Her Hand Gun
HerHandgun (www.herhandgun.com) is firearms safety for women, by women. They cover the greater Phoenix, Mesa area and they have a variety of courses including outings for churches, schools, corporate outings, etc. Their Annual Ladies Day will be October 3, 2021 and costs just $25, which includes ammunition and firearms to use. There are multiple start times so register early to get the time you want.
Foam ear plugs are provided, but bring your own eye protection and ear muffs if you have them. Do NOT bring your own gun. Handgun – don't buy mom a handgun unless she has tried it out already and has specifically requested that model. Instead, take her to the range to try some out. See if the range has a ladies' day where they will let you rent guns for free and just pay for the ammo. At Shooters World, that is Friday for ladies.
Becoming An Outdoors Woman
Becoming an Outdoors Woman – The Arizona Wildlife Federation conducts Becoming an Outdoors Woman twice a year at Camp Friendly Pines outside Prescott. Skills such as gun safety, shooting, angling (including fly fishing), camping, Dutch-oven cooking, map and compass reading, and marksmanship with rifle and bow are taught. Space is limited and the fee is $385, plus $75 for the Wall/Rope session.

Finally, and possibly the thing Mom will love most: Spend some time with her. Take her out to the Sporting Clays range, or an indoor range and just have fun shooting together. Try not to take it too hard if she out shoots you.
