Times Spent Outdoors: Priceless!
Spring Forward
Not only does Daylight Saving Time begin this month, but so do many other great things. In the Valley of the Sun, fans' thoughts turn to diamonds, baseball that is, as Spring Training is underway.
Wildlife and outdoor enthusiasts look forward to the annual Arizona Game and Fish Expo; the Arizona Game And Fish Department's Outdoor Expo will feature everything from wildlife exhibits and family fishing tanks and trying out firearms in a safe, controlled environment on the range. Dates are March 23-24, Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
And, For the first time since 2016, Arizona will have a new state park. Rockin' River Ranch, located in Camp Verde, opened recently, and visitors can look forward to outdoor recreation options like picnicking, hiking, and wildlife watching. The park will operate Fridays-Sundays.
In addition, many of our favorite and meaningful holidays are just ahead: St. Patrick's Day: March 17, First Day of Spring: March 19, Palm Sunday: March 24, Good Friday: March 29, and Easter: March 31.
It's a wonderful time of year here in the Southwest; we hope you will spring forward with us and totally enjoy the season.
