Also — The Arizona Game And Fish Department (AZGFD) will make available 2,820 over-the-counter non-permit-tags for non resident archery deer hunters for the 2025 calendar year beginning at 8 a.m. (Arizona time) Monday, Nov. 4, 2024. Information: www.azgfd.gov/hunting.

November 10 Everyone Runs - Veterans Day
5.3-Mile & 10.6-Mile Trail Races and 5K Road Run & Walk

This Veterans Day weekend, on Sunday, November 10, Everyone Runs is hosting 5.3-mile and 10.6-mile trail races and a 5K road run at Catalina State Park to benefit veteran agencies in need, including Project Action for Veterans program! Project Action for Veterans is a program in Tucson, Arizona that helps veterans in need of housing, workforce development, and neighborhood revitalization. The program is part of the Primavera Foundation.
Come join the fun at what Everyone Runs describes as Southern Arizona’s Favorite Trail Race! The race starts and finishes at the park trail head and travels the trails of this magnificent park, while the 5K road run takes place on the fast and flat roads of the park.
In addition to your spot in the race, your registration will include their homemade Mexican breakfast, free professional race photos available for download in any size, free coffee from A Gusto Coffee, quality finisher shirts in cotton and tech (moisture-wicking polyester), and overall and five-year age group medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Overall winners in the 5.3-mile and 10.6-mile trail races will take home free running shoes from Fleet Feet!

The Arizona Game And Fish Department (AZGFD) would like to remind hunters that Conservation First USA is running its bonus Great 8 fall raffle. With fall seasons opening and hunting on the brain, what better time to purchase tickets?
You must purchase your tickets online through Conservation First USA’s website. But don’t wait, the deadline for ticket purchases is December 15. Make sure to check out all the rules.
December 31 - Hunter Education
The Arizona Game And Fish Department (AZGFD) is making it easier to complete the requirements necessary to become certified by the department’s Hunter Education program. If a resident student has taken the online course from October1, 2019 to August 28, 2024, they will have until December 31, 2024, to complete an in-person or virtual field day before their certificate expires.
