Guided Bird Walks at Tonto Natural Bridge

Join a ranger on a ~1 mile, mostly paved, walk through some of the most biodiverse terrain in central Arizona. A combination of plant communities and habitats surrounding the world’s largest travertine bridge supports a wide variety of bird species that call the park home and we will be searching for. Meets between the Waterfall Parking and Waterfall Trailhead. Bringing your own optics is encouraged! Event is free, day-use fee still applies. Recreational Area Cleanups

| Join us as we help keep our trails clean! Staging area is at the BLM Box Canyon trailhead, 1/4 mile past the 2nd river crossing on Rincon Road, unless otherwise noted. Garbage bags, pick sticks, latex gloves, buckets and reflective vests provided. Bring work gloves and water. Organizations/businesses are needed to sponsor monthly cleanups. Lake Pleasant is creating a Monday clean-up crew. If you are available on any Monday, please join us as we pick up litter along the shoreline. What should the volunteers bring? – Water, salty snacks and fruit (oranges are best for hot weather), hat, sunscreen, closed-toed shoes/boots made for uneven surfaces, sunglasses, and work gloves.What equipment will be provided? Come Experience The Outdoors At AZGFD’s Outdoor Expo

March 29 AND 30

Your next fun-filled outdoor adventure begins at the Arizona Game and Fish Department’s (AZGFD) annual Outdoor Expo on Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30.

Located at the 1,650-acre Ben Avery Shooting Facility in north Phoenix, this popular event showcases Arizona’s abundance of wildlife-related and outdoor recreation opportunities, including wildlife viewing, fishing, hunting, shooting sports, camping, off-highway vehicle (OHV) and boating recreation, and more.

Expo hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. The Ben Avery Shooting Facility is located on Carefree Highway, one-half of a mile west of Interstate 17. Admission and parking are free.
